Susanne Robicsek
Susanne Robicsek is a consumer bankruptcy lawyer in Charlotte NC, and has concentrated in consumer bankruptcy law since 1989. She is a founding member of Bankruptcy Law Network and its sister sites.
Susanne is the 2008 Chair of the Bankruptcy Section of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) and has served on the NCBA Bankruptcy Council as well as many NCBA committees. She also a member of: the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA) and the Mecklenburg County Bar.
Susanne began her legal career as the last law clerk to the Honorable Rufus Reynolds for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of NC. It wasn’t long before Susanne realized that bankruptcy law would be the path she would take, not construction law as she had originally planned.
Judge Reynolds was one of the longest sitting bankruptcy judges in the country and an inspiration. During her clerkship, Susanne worked on many types of cases but the most famous was the PTL bankruptcy case for the former PTL Church that was started by Jim and Tammy Faye Baker. Susanne practiced with law firms in Winston-Salem NC and Charlotte NC before opening her own practice in 1993.
She is a graduate of North Carolina State University School of Design with a degree in Architecture, and received her legal degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 1988.
