Susanne Robicsek, Charlotte Area and Western North Carolina Bankruptcy Attorney
Susanne Robicsek is a bankruptcy lawyer in Charlotte NC, and has concentrated in consumer bankruptcy law since 1989. She is a founding member of Bankruptcy Law Network.
In addition to her bankruptcy law practice, Susanne was the 2008 Chair of the Bankruptcy Section of the North Carolina Bar Association (NCBA) and has served on the NCBA Bankruptcy Council as well as many NCBA committees. She also a member of: the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA) and the Mecklenburg County Bar.
Susanne provides volunteer legal help about bankruptcy, finance, budgets and other areas of law. She conducts private speaking engagements, attends community legal question events, does radio and other presentations, community financial and debt events, elderly and legal aid cases, as well as teaching and presenting at school and community seminars.
Her legal career in began as the last law clerk to the Honorable Rufus Reynolds for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of NC. Judge Reynolds was one of the longest sitting bankruptcy judges in the country, and was her mentor and an inspiration.
It wasn’t long before Susanne realized that this would be the path she would take, not construction law as she had originally planned. During her clerkship, she worked on many types of cases but the most famous was the PTL case for the former PTL Church that was started by Jim and Tammy Faye Baker. After her clerkship, she practiced with law firms in Winston-Salem NC and Charlotte NC before opening her own practice in 1993.
She is a graduate of North Carolina State University School of Design with a degree in Architecture, and she received her legal degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law in 1988.
