The Fall Workshop for members of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys is now over. The authors of posts on Bankruptcy Law Network were well represented in multiple presentations and in attendance.
Kent Anderson presented on issues involving tax issues and 1099s that can often affect a bankruptcy case or issues of debt settlement. Cathy Moran and Susanne Robicsek presented pertinent information on the intricacies of the “means test.” Jill Michaux discussed some of the ethical pitfalls of a “dishonest” debtor trying to scam the bankruptcy system. Other BLN members made presentations on various topics including Karen Oakes, Eugene Melchionne and Andy Miofsky. In addition to the presentations made by several of the BLN members, most other members were in attendance soaking up information on the cutting edge of bankruptcy practice.
As someone contemplating filing bankruptcy, you should seek out bankruptcy counsel who is knowledgeable, thorough and on the cutting edge of bankruptcy practice. The attorneys contributing posts to this blog are just that–smart, knowledgeable and on the cutting edge.
Bankruptcy can be complicated and mistakes can be very, very costly. Don’t attempt to go it alone. If you are facing financial difficulties, contact any of the attorneys listed to the right for a consultation to see if bankruptcy is the right solution for you.
