Where Is the Bankruptcy Court in Oregon?

The two main locations for the Oregon bankruptcy court are in Eugene and Portland.  Each of the two court divisions have their own clerk’s office, chambers for the judges, permanent courtrooms and a library.  The Oregon bankruptcy judges hear adversary proceedings, motions and other contested or disputed matters in these locations as well as in other places where the court sits around the state.  The court clerk is in the Portland office and most of the court administration is handled there.  Papers must be filed in either Portland or Eugene depending on the division in which the matter is to be heard.  The locations for court appearance purposes are as follows:

The United States Bankruptcy Court
1001 SW Fifth Avenue
Portland, Oregon 97204

Wayne L Morse Courthouse
405 E 8th Avenue, Suite 1900
Eugene, OR 97401

The court also sits in several other locations, on a rotating basis, to hear cases in other parts of the state.  The Portland judges also hear cases in these locations:

Bend National Guard Armory
875 SW Simpson Avenue
Bend, Oregon 97702

J.F. Kilkenny Post Office Buildings
District Courtroom, 2nd Floor
104 SW Dorion
Pendleton, Oregon 97801

The Eugene judges hold court in these locations as well as their home courthouse in Eugene:

Medford, OR 97501

Douglas County Courthouse
1036 SE Douglas Avenue
Roseburg, OR 97470
