Bankruptcy Related Organizations Part 7 – Local Bankruptcy Bar Associations

Most areas of the country have local bankruptcy bar associations.  Some include both debtor and creditor attorneys, and some, in the larger cities, have separate associations for each.  Generally, these associations conduct educational programs for their members.

In the Northern District of New York, there are two such associations.  In the Albany District, there is the Capital Region Bankruptcy Bar Association (CRBBA), and in the Syracuse and Utica Districts there is the Central New York Bankruptcy Bar Association (CNYBBA).  Both Associations conduct educational programs throughout the year.  Once a year, the Associations combine to put on a two-day educational program for bankruptcy practitioners.  The program is held during the height of the beautiful fall foliage season at the historic Otesaga Hotel in Cooperstown, NY.

This is my seventh and final blog on Bankruptcy Related Organizations.  Since you are probably reading this on www.bankruptcylawnetwork.com, you already know something about the Bankruptcy Law Network (BLN).  To date, BLN has provided close to 1500 separate and distinct blog entries dealing with bankruptcy and consumer finance on the national and local levels.

BLN is not a referral network, nor is it a law firm.  It is an organization of unaffiliated bankruptcy lawyers sharing a common desire to provide consumers with important, relevant information.  BLN strives to correct much of the inaccurate information currently found online about bankruptcy.  Through the BLN website consumers can locate BLN member bankruptcy attorneys throughout the country for one-on-one help with their particular financial issues.
