Connecticut Bankruptcy Hearings — New Haven Court

Connecticut has three Bankruptcy Courts: in Bridgeport, Hartford and New Haven.

If you live in Litchfield, Middlesex, New Haven or New London counties or the Towns of Monroe, Shelton, and Stratford, you are considered to be in the New Haven Division. Your Meeting of Creditors is held at the U.S. Trustee’s office in New Haven and your Confirmation Hearing (in a Chapter 13 case) and other Court proceedings are held at the Bankruptcy Court in One Financial Center, 157 Church Street, New Haven, CT 06103. The general bankruptcy clerk’s phone is (203) 773-2009, and the Court’s website is here.

The Court Clerk’s Office is located on the 18th floor of the building and the Bankruptcy Courtrooms are on the 17th and 18th floors. Judge Albert S. Dabrowski and Judge Lorraine M. Weil preside over the New Haven courthouse.
