AFFIL: Advocacy and Education

I do not often promote other websites for consumer finance information but I would like to introduce anyone interested in the subject to the Americans for Fairness in Lending.

AFFIL is an umbrella group organized by some of the best advocates of consumer interests: Consumer Federation of America, Consumers Union, ACORN, National Association of Consumer Advocates, National Consumer Law Center, Center for Responsible Lending, to name only a few. This is a who’s who of consumer rights groups.

The site is choke full of useful information written specifically for consumers. It is not aimed at selling you a product or service but rather at educating consumers like you and me about consumer finance. AFFIL makes no bones about also asking for your help advocating for consumer interests. Consumers as a group don’t stand up for themselves often and AFFIL would like to do a little to change that. If you are reading sites like ours, then it is worth your time to visit their site. Then come back and we’ll have more interesting entries for you here!
