Maryland Bankruptcy Hearings—Salisbury Court

Maryland has three Bankruptcy Courts: in Baltimore, Greenbelt and Salisbury.
If you live in Caroline County, Dorchester County, Kent County, Queen Anne’s County, Somerset County, Talbot County, Wicomico County, or Worcester County, you are considered to be in the Eastern Shore Division. Your Meeting of Creditors, Confirmation Hearing (in a Chapter 13 case) and other Court proceedings are held at the United States Courtroom, U.S. Post Office Building, Room 104, 129 East Main Street, Salisbury, Maryland. The general bankruptcy clerk’s phone is (410) 962-2688, and the Court’s website is here.
If you live in Queen Anne’s County, you may ask the Court to hold all court hearings, except for the Meetings of Creditors, at the Courthouse in Baltimore. In Chapter 11 cases, the Meeting of Creditors will be conducted by the U.S. Trustee in Baltimore; and court hearings will be scheduled in Salisbury, if possible, or in Baltimore at the request of a party, if necessary.
