Bankruptcy and Personal Debt Management

The February 18, 2007 New York Times published an interesting way for each of us to manage our spending: Blogging!
It’s like keeping a diary of every expense, but instead it’s on a public blog. “Look what you all have done to me!” the Times quotes Tricia as saying, excited about her new-found financial discipline in not making an impulse-purchase while shopping for other items. Others brag about not buying anything at a grocery store that wasn’t on the list.
Any means of spending discipline, public or private, is great. Sometimes it can only work for the future, and sometimes it can avoid a bankruptcy filing. It all depends on your particular circumstances.
